Privacy Policy

1. Overview and Accountability

Cordax (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Ontario corporation, is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of data within our MEP design platform.

2. Information Collection

Professional Identity Data: Name, business email, and professional designations (e.g., P.Eng status).

Project Data: Technical floor plans, schematics, and MEP specifications uploaded by the User.

Technical Metadata: IP addresses, browser types, and session tokens used for security and performance auditing.

3. Purposes of Processing & Data Accuracy

Data is collected for the sole purpose of providing automated 2D-to-3D MEP drafting and modeling services.

Non-Reliance Clause: The Company processes User-uploaded data "AS IS." We make no representations regarding the professional accuracy of the outputs generated from this data.

Professional Verification: The User acknowledges that the processing of project data by Cordax does not constitute an engineering review. All outputs must be verified by a licensed Professional Engineer in the relevant jurisdiction.

4. Consent and Withdrawal

By accessing the platform and uploading project data, you provide implied consent to the collection and processing of said data.

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting legal@cordax.io; however, withdrawal of consent will result in the immediate termination of Service access and the deletion of active project files.

5. Disclosure and Third-Party Transfers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or project data.

Authorized Service Providers: Cloud hosting (e.g., AWS/Azure) and payment processors who maintain privacy standards equivalent to PIPEDA.

Legal Mandates: Disclosure required by a court of competent jurisdiction in Ontario or federal authorities.

Data Residency: Data may be stored or processed outside of Canada. While in foreign jurisdictions, data may be accessed by local law enforcement according to the laws of that territory (e.g., the U.S. Patriot Act).

6. ABSOLUTE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Data Integrity: Cordax shall not be liable for any damages, professional errors, or construction failures resulting from inaccuracies in the processed data or the User’s reliance on automated outputs.

Security Breach: While we employ industry-standard encryption, the Company shall not be liable for unauthorized access to data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Total Indemnity: The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cordax from any third-party claims arising from the User's misuse of data generated by the Service.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal and project data only as long as necessary to fulfill the service or as required by Ontario professional record-keeping standards. We employ administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including AES-256 encryption, to protect information against loss or theft.

8. Access and Correction

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. Inquiries should be directed to our Privacy Officer.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes related to data privacy shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
